The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is inexpensive, frequently leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.
But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one business is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
